Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Tutorium Education's website or services. By submitting an application, booking sessions, or using our website at tutoriumeducation.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services or website.
1. About Tutorium Education
Tutorium Education is an online tutoring service providing structured, supervised academic support for GCSE and A-Level students. Our services are delivered online via our platform.

2. Eligibility
Our services are available to students in the United Kingdom, primarily at GCSE (Years 9–11) and A-Level (Years 12–13) stage. By using our services, you confirm that:
- You are a parent or legal guardian acting on behalf of a student, or a student aged 18 or over acting on your own behalf
- All information provided during the application process is accurate and complete
- You have the authority to enter into this agreement
3. Our services
Tutorium Education provides online tutoring sessions delivered by qualified, DBS-checked tutors. Session frequency, duration, and content are agreed between Tutorium and the student/parent at the point of enrolment.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.
4. Fees and payment
- Fees are as set out on our Pricing page at the time of enrolment
- Payment is due in accordance with the payment schedule agreed at enrolment
- Tutorium Education reserves the right to change its pricing with reasonable prior notice
- Funded places through the Tutorium Access Fund are subject to separate eligibility criteria and are not governed by standard payment terms
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
- Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged at the full session rate
- Tutorium Education will provide as much notice as possible if a session needs to be cancelled on our side and will always offer an alternative slot
- No-shows without notice will be treated as a completed session for billing purposes
6. Conduct and safeguarding
We are committed to providing a safe learning environment. All tutors hold an enhanced DBS certificate and operate under our Safeguarding Policy.
- Sessions take place online only via our approved platform
- Recording of sessions is not permitted without prior written consent from Tutorium Education
- Any safeguarding concerns will be handled in accordance with our policy and, where necessary, referred to the relevant authorities
- We expect all students and parents to engage respectfully with our tutors. We reserve the right to terminate services where conduct is deemed inappropriate
7. Intellectual property
All content on our website — including text, graphics, course materials, and session resources — is the intellectual property of Tutorium Education unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written permission.
8. Limitation of liability
Tutorium Education provides tutoring support as an educational supplement. We make no guarantee of specific exam results or academic outcomes. Our liability in connection with any claim arising from the use of our services is limited to the total fees paid for the sessions directly relating to the claim.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses, including lost opportunities or exam re-sit costs.
9. Tutorium Access Fund terms
Applications to the Tutorium Access Fund are subject to the following additional terms:
- All applications are assessed by a Tutorium committee panel
- Decisions on whether support is fully free or subsidised are final and made at the committee's discretion based on evidence provided
- Funded places are subject to availability and may be placed on a waiting list
- Providing false or misleading information to obtain a funded place may result in termination of services and recovery of costs
- Tutorium Education is not a registered charity. Donations to the Access Fund are used exclusively for funded tutoring places and are not tax-deductible as charitable donations
- We will publish regular anonymised impact updates but will never identify individual funded students
10. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR.
11. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
